I offer a 20 minute consultation for new patients to see if I might be a good fit. This is a more casual opportunity for us to connect, chat, and consider how I might be able to support you.
In this meeting I will ask you about your story, any symptoms you have been experiencing, and any previous counselling experiences you have had. I will ask about any goals you have for counselling to help us determine goodness-of-fit, and to help me tailor my approach to meet your needs should you choose to move forward in counselling with me. I will discuss my approach to therapy and how this may work for you and your current struggles.
Please feel free to use this opportunity to ask any questions you may have about me and my approach (for example, see the "How to Choose a Therapist" Checklist by Ofer Zur).
COUNSELLING (60 MINUTES)

$220 per 60-minute session
(This aligns with the Recommended Fee Schedules provided by the Psychologists' Association of Alberta and the British Columbia Psychological Association)
Forms: Consent forms and other important documents can be found here.
Insurance: As a Registered Psychologist, my fees are often covered in whole or in part by insurance providers. Please contact your insurer to learn more about your coverage. A receipt for psychological services will be issued after each session. I am happy to facilitate direct billing for refugees and other individuals with coverage through the Interim Federal Health Program and for First Nations and Inuit individuals with coverage through the Non-Insured Health Benefits Program.
Payment: Payment may be made by e-transfer, PayPal, or credit card.
Cancellations: Unless excused due to circumstances beyond your control (i.e., hospitalisation, serious accident, etc.), late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) and no-shows/missed appointments will be automatically billed at the full cost of the session.
GROUP THERAPY (90 MINUTES)

$75 per 90-minute session
